Fox News anchor John Roberts let his audience be aware of exactly where he stood Monday when he exclaimed, “It works!” to Sen. Chris Coons’s (D-DE) argument that former President Donald Trump’s world coverage has been made from ineffective “threats and bullying.”

Roberts commenced, “Did you hear what he mentioned this morning about conceivable tariffs against Mexico? When he stated that…if he turns into president, on day one he’ll contact the Mexican President, Claudia Sheinbaum, and he’ll say, ‘Fix the problem with people developing thru Relevant America and Panama and far and wide else on this planet via Mexico, or I’m gonna slap a 25% tariff on everything coming out of Mexico.’ And he believes that that’s a no-brainer for her. That she’ll say, ‘You know what? We will’t take care of that. I’ll restore the border.’”

COONS: That’s simply any other reminder that Trump’s concept of easy methods to conduct international family members is thru threats and bullying.

ROBERTS: However it works!

COONS: Mexico is our biggest trading associate. It didn’t work really neatly the last time he was once president —

ROBERTS: Yeah, it did!

COONS: — with our key allies around the world. I met with the heads of state from countries like Australia, Canada, Germany, Korea who found his unmoored and unbalanced management type discouraging, and at some instances, unnerving. I do assume that we need to tackle border security. There’s an effective way to do it, a bipartisan bill that was on the floor of the Senate, and we must have earlier months and months ago aside from for a former President Trump weighing in in opposition to it on the day we have been to take it up and go it. To be able to get taken up, passed, and signed into law via Vice President Harris in her first couple weeks in place of business, and it’s my hope that we’ll have a good agenda to work on, no longer one who imposes tariffs on every imported product from all over the world.
