Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) had some choice phrases for some protestors who accosted her at a movie theater.

On Monday evening, FreedomNewsTV posted a video on X (previously Twitter) displaying Ocasio-Cortez being harangued by means of protestors on the theater. The protestors took issue with the lawmaker’s rhetoric about Israel’s conflict in Gaza after the Oct. 7 Hamas assaults wherein 1,200 Israelis were killed and more than 200 had been kidnapped. In Israel’s subsequent invasion of Gaza, more than 30,000 Palestinians were killed.

In the video, the protestors repeatedly ask why Ocasio-Cortez, who’s along with her fiancé Riley Roberts, has not called Israel’s actions a “genocide”:

PROTESTOR: You refuse to call it a genocide.

AOC: I need you to needless to say this isn’t ok.

PROTESTOR: It’s no longer ok that there’s a genocide taking place and you’re not actively in opposition to it.

AOC: You’re mendacity.

PROTESTOR: I’m mendacity? You’re not. You went on TV [inaudible]

Ocasio-Cortez, who’s walking faraway from the protestors throughout the video, however engages with them more than one times.

“Over 30,000 people are lifeless, AOC,” some other protestor tells her. “That You can’t just say it for once? Just say the word. That’s it! That’s all we wish you to assert!”

As they exit the building, Roberts turns to the protestors and implores them to again off. “Cease. Ok? Stop,” he says.

At the end of the video, Ocasio-Cortez tells a protestor that the footage might be edited to do away with context:

…And also you’re gonna reduce this you’re gonna clip this so that it’s completely out of context. I already stated that it used to be. And y’all are simply going to pretend that it wasn’t over and over. It’s fucked up, man! You’re now not helping your folks! And also you’re no longer serving to them! You’re no longer helping them!
