Jessica Tarlov reminded her Fox News co-hosts and viewers on Thursday that reporters maintain asking Republicans concerning the 2020 election because their birthday party’s leader still insists on speaking about it.
Former President Donald Trump automatically and falsely insists at rallies and in interviews that the contest used to be rigged against him. An hour earlier than The Five aired on Thursday, Trump did so once more while speaking to supporters in Saginaw, Michigan.
“The narrative is that Democrats are obsessive about January 6th,” Tarlov stated. “However the truth is that Donald Trump is the one who is obsessed with 2020. Even as of late, he was onstage in Michigan pronouncing, ‘I gained, and I gained via a good larger margin than 2016.’ Perhaps he must be quiet about it, but he can’t cease himself, which puts it into the national discourse.”
Tarlov then delved right into a recent motion by using Special Guidance Jack Smith, who is prosecuting Trump for trying to overturn the 2020 election. She pointed to a previously-mentioned story about Trump being told on Jan. 6, 2021 that Vice President Mike Pence was once secure after a mob stormed the Capitol where he presided over election certification.
“So what?” Trump reportedly responded.
“I knew all of that,” said Tarlov’s co-host Dana Perino, as if to downplay the anecdote.
“You knew he stated, ‘So what?’” Tarlov responded. “And also you knew–”
“It’s inside the spirit of the whole thing that has been written and mentioned about this prior to,” Perino responded.
“Were you aware about [Republican National Committee Chair] Ronna McDaniel going to an election reliable in Michigan, who stated, ‘That’s F***ing nuts,’?” Tarlov requested.
“It is holding with the whole thing else that I learn about it and the whole thing else that she said,” Perino answered.
