House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) reacted to a lawsuit filed against him by means of Long island District Lawyer Alvin Bragg on Tuesday through characterizing it as an attempt to “block congressional oversight” of a politically stimulated prosecution.

Trump was once indicted via a Ny grand jury on 34 counts of falsification of industry information on March 30 and was once arraigned in New york Legal Court on April four. The charges relate to hush money Trump paid to porn celebrity Stormy Daniels in an effort to maintain Daniels quiet about a prior affair with Trump right through the waning days of the 2016 presidential election.
Bragg’s lawsuit alleges that Jordan and the Republican majority on the Judiciary Committee had been engaged in “a transparent marketing campaign to intimidate and attack District Lawyer Bragg, making calls for for exclusive documents and testimony from the District Lawyer himself as well as his present and former employees and officers.”
