Pennsylvania Lt. Gov. John Fetterman simply gained on Tuesday the Democratic nomination for the Senate race in the state in November, NBC Information has projected.

He defeated Rep. Connor Lamb, Malcolm Kenyatta, and Alex Khalil.

He’ll face either former TV celebrity Dr. Mehmet Ounces178946280), businessman David McCormick, or proper-wing commentator Kathy Barnette. The winner will succeed retiring Sen. Pat Toomey (R).

Fetterman had been the frontrunner right through the main race.

Fetterman may not be at his victory party because of him being in the sanatorium, where he got a pacemaker on Tuesday. It’ll “give protection to his heart and deal with the underlying cause of his stroke,” consistent with his campaign. He suffered the stroke on Friday that was once resulting from atrial fibrillation, or AFib.
