The news of the interview broke shortly after 5 pm ET Tuesday. From the record on CNN.com:

The interview, conducted by means of CNN’s chief political correspondent and anchor Dana Bash, will air at 9 p.m. ET on Thursday. It occurs as the candidates embark on a bus tour through the battleground state of Georgia and marks the first time Harris has sat with a journalist for an in-depth, on-the-record conversation in view that President Joe Biden dropped his bid for a 2nd time period and recommended her on July 21.

Harris had faced criticism for no longer sitting down for a one-on-one interview given that President Joe Biden dropped out of the presidential race after a disastrous efficiency at a debate that Bash co-moderated together with Jake Tapper. In the 30-plus days because Harris took over the campaign, she has chatted off-the-document with the pool newshounds traveling with the campaign, answered occasional questions from newshounds (often when getting on or off Air Force Two), and also had a number of brief interviews with content creators and influencers on the Democratic Nationwide Conference in Chicago final week.

Alex Marquardt, guest anchoring for Wolf Blitzer on The Situation Room, stated the information Tuesday afternoon, noting that the interview would come simply two weeks sooner than Harris is scheduled to debate her Republican opponent, former President Donald Trump September 10 on ABC News.

An e mail from CNN Communications announced that the interview would be held in “the an important battleground state of Georgia,” and would air continue to exist Thursday, August 29, at 9 pm ET on CNN, CNN Global, CNN en Español, CNN Max, CNN.com, and on the CNN apps.
