Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) had some robust phrases Friday for Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO), his controversial fellow member of the House Republican Conference.

Kinzinger wrote on Twitter: “Lauren Boebert is TRASH.”

Marina Zimmerman, who is challenging Boebert in the Republican main retweeted the out-going Kinzinger, writing, “Assist me take out the trash.”

Kinzinger’s tweet comes on the heels of feedback Boebert made in a now-viral video during which she mocked Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) as a possible terror threat.

“So the other night time on the Home flooring was now not my first jihad squad second,” Boebert said in the clip.

“So I was once coming into an elevator with one in all my staffers. And he and I are – we’re leaving the Capitol. We’re going back to my workplace and we get in the elevator, and I see a Capitol Police officer running hurriedly to the elevator,” Boebert jested, telling an it seems that “made up” anecdote as a comic story.

Boebert, who represents the western slope of Colorado, apologized on Twitter Friday, saying, “I ask for forgiveness to any individual within the Muslim community I offended with my remark about Rep. Omar. I’ve reached out to her place of job to talk along with her instantly.”

Omar spoke back to the clip Thrusday, writing, “Fact, this buffoon seems to be down when she sees me on the Capitol, this entire story is made up. Unhappy she thinks bigotry will get her clout.”
