CNN’s chief congressional correspondent, Manu Raju, asked Republican senators on Thursday to react to former President Donald Trump pronouncing that Vice President Kamala Harris recently “became Black.”
Raju, who is known for chasing down individuals of Congress for quotes, posted some of those reactions on X – starting with Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC).
“I don’t think so,” Raju suggested Graham informed CNN when asked if Trump will have to have puzzled if Harris is Black. “I’ve recognized the vice president for a while she’s all the time embraced her heritage proudly, as she will have to. My problem with Vice President Harris is the policy picks she’s made. I imply, she’s lived a consequential lifestyles and on policy — the usa is on fireplace. Raju went on to report that Sen. Thom Tillis (R-NC) referred to as the comments a “distraction.”

John Cornyn didn’t wish to weigh in.
