Chris “Mad Dog” Russo slammed the MLB for hosting its season opener between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the San Diego Padres in South Korea.

The Dodgers and Padres on Wednesday morning played the first of two games in Seoul, South Korea’s Gocheok SkyDome. Dubbed the “Seoul Collection,” the video games had been scheduled to start out at evening in Seoul. For baseball lovers within the U.S., that supposed having to rise up early within the morning to seize the first pitch.

Thursday’s game, as an example, used to be scheduled for six:05 a.m. ET. With each groups being from the West Coast, a big component to their fans both woke up at 3 a.m. or simply didn’t capture the game in any respect.

Russo, who’s strongly antagonistic world games in different sports activities, used to be livid.

“Pay attention, I’ll watch out, but I don’t like the concept we start the baseball season and we don’t begin it in Dodger Stadium with [Shohei Ohtani] and the nice Dodger workforce,” Russo said on Wednesday’s episode of First Take. “The game began at three o’clock in the morning in L.A. lately! Take into accounts it! Have them start the game at six o’clock at night. Play the game in Seoul at 10 a.m.! That approach it’s 6 o’clock in L.A. At the least they may be able to watch their game, the season ticket holders who lay our a fortune to go to the games!

“And they play the game at three o’clock within the morning? It’s six o’clock in the morning, our time! This is the nice Ohtani! This is the Dodgers! Why do we now have to sit there on March 20 and really feel we now have to model the sport? And I have in mind cash and I get it, but it’s opening day! That may be a unique, different occurrence!”
