Mom Jones reporter Sarah Posner broke the story this week that George W. Bush is keynoting a fundraiser for the Messianic Jewish Bible Institute, a group with the intention of getting Jews to simply accept Jesus because the Messiah within the quest to carry about the 2d Coming of Christ. Rachel Maddow found it more than somewhat demanding a former President of america would freely affiliate himself with a fringe, controversial team like that.

Maddow reminded viewers of the strange historical past the Bush administration had with apocalypse teams, together with a file from 2004 that a prime staffer on Bush’s nationwide safety council met with apocalyptic teams over their concerns about American international policy in opposition to Israel gearing towards the 2d Coming.
