A producer for The Rachel Maddow Show by chance copied the place of business of Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-NC) on an e-mail through which the producer involved he would ask to return on the express if the program sought his comment for a story.

In line with Fox News, the producer emailed an NBC Information colleague on Monday about a group of North Carolina voters seeking to dam Cawthorn from showing on the ballot in 2022. They argue that Cawthorn supported the rioters that stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021 as a way to stop the certification of Joe Biden as president.

The voters are citing the 14th Modification, which bars from Congress individuals who “have engaged in rebellion or revolt against the [United States], or given help or remedy to the enemies thereof.”

Fox Information mentioned the unnamed Maddow producer emailed their colleague and expressed subject that Cawthorn would wish to come on the convey to speak about the matter if the exhibit reached out to him for remark:

A gaggle of voters in NC is challenging his candidacy based on his ties to the riot,” the producer wrote, in keeping with the e-mail obtained via Fox Information Digital. “1. The producer’s NBC Information colleague stated they’d ask Cawthorn’s place of business for remark.

The congressman mocked MSNBC in response.

“Fake information MSNBC doesn’t need to ‘take the risk’ that I’ll come on their express and trigger the left with my The us First message and burst their woke dystopian bubble,” Cawthorn said. “The left doesn’t want debate from conservatives, they want silence. And now we have now it in writing. Unhappy!”
