Two volunteers for Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s re-election marketing campaign have been attacked via a person close to Houston, local officers advised Fox News.
Whereas door-knocking in Humble, Texas, the two volunteers were chased and attacked with the aid of a man who ripped the side view mirrors off their automobile, Abbott’s marketing campaign stated in a remark. He used to be reportedly arrested and charged with criminal mischief.
Consistent with the marketing campaign:
The previous day, two Texans for Greg Abbott volunteers were assaulted through a man within the Humble while they have been knocking on doors. The person chased the volunteers thru a nearby, tried to tug them out of their automobile, and punched each aspect view mirrors off of the vehicle. The volunteers referred to as police, who spoke back to the scene. After choosing the suspect, and finding pieces of the vehicle in his trash can, Harris County authorities took the suspect into custody and charged him with legal mischief.
“Political violence isn’t ideal,” Mark Miner, the communications director for Abbott’s campaign, said in a remark. “With just over a month until Election Day, the eagerness to win should by no means bubble over into one thing more unhealthy. There’s no situation for this in Texas.”
