(UPDATE BELOW) CNBC anchor Maria Bartiromo is leaving for rival channel Fox Industry Community, in keeping with the Drudge File. Sources with reference to the deal reportedly told Drudge that Bartiromo shall be anchoring a “day-to-day market hours program” on the network, and he or she will also make appearances on Fox Information.

The news does not come as an entire surprise, as a New York Publish report from prior this 12 months mentioned Bartiromo was once shopping round to other networks, including FBN and CNN. At the time, a Fox Business spokesperson denied they had been having “critical discussions” with Bartiromo.

The community has yet to verify Bartiromo’s move, but New York Occasions TV reporter Invoice Carter independently confirmed the news on Twitter.

That is the splash as it seemed on The Drudge Report.

UPDATE: CNBC supplied a statement to TVNewser saying Bartiromo shall be departing the network after her contract expires subsequent week.

“After two decades of groundbreaking work at CNBC, Maria Bartiromo will likely be leaving the corporate as her contract expires on November 24. Her contributions to CNBC are too a lot of to list however we thank her for all of her onerous work through the years and wish her the very best.”
