Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) brought up once more the theory of a “nationwide divorce” while defending “2nd Amendment rights” as a way to battle again against tyrannical government – which she equated with the Democrats.
“Indirectly in fact it’s our 2nd Amendment rights, our proper to endure palms, that protects Americans and give us the ability to defend ourselves from a tyrannical govt,” Greene said on Sebastian Gorka’s podcast The usa First, which used to be revealed Tuesday.
“And I hate to make use of this language however Democrats, they’re exactly–they’re doing exactly what our Founders mentioned when they gave us the valuable rights that we’ve,” Greene brought.
She continued:
No person desires violence and I say always I am not a violent person. I hope to never see a Civil Battle on this u . s . a . and that’s why you hear me toss round “national divorce.” The federal government has grown so large and the Democrats are prepared to use the ability of the federal govt, that it in point of fact violates folks’s rights.
Greene in the past recommended for a “national divorce” in late December, while lamenting that Democrats from blue states are shifting to pink states and bringing their politics with them.
“All possible in a Nationwide Divorce scenario,” Greene tweeted. “After Democrat voters and large donors smash a state like California, you could assume it wise to prevent them from doing it to another nice state like Florida. Brainwashed people that move from CA and NY actually want a cooling-off duration.”
Greene’s tweet sparked an avalanche of controversy as she was it seems that hyping domestic tensions and calling to disenfranchise Americans.
“It’s a disgrace, we shouldn’t think that means. I don’t be aware of what’s going to occur someday,” Green concluded while talking to Gorka. “However we always have to ensure we are defending our 2d Amendment rights and ensure our states’ rights are safe.”
