Over the weekend, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin knowingly irked her detractors on the left when she equated America’s nationwide debt and the impact it is going to have on future generations to slavery. “This isn’t racist,” she introduced prior to making her comments, realizing that her political opponents within the press would attempt to frame them in that light. On Monday, MSNBC host Martin Bashir took the bait.

In a phase with Ring of Fire radio host Sam Seder, Bashir tried twice to get his guest to point that Palin was trying to talk to a cast of closeted bigots in the best wing ether. Whereas Seder did difficulty a scathing critique of Palin and her brand of political commentary, he refused to humor Bashir’s efforts to assert Palin used to be pandering to racism.

“Mrs. Palin’s delusional dominionism is nothing new,” Bashir began. “But, in Iowa this weekend, she, neatly, she when compared our national debt to slavery.”

“Who’s that destined for, that kind of commentary?” he asked.

“It’s obviously for an ever-increasingly smaller staff of people who she is attempting to sell to,” Seder replied. “She is running out of issues to claim.”

On a factual foundation, Seder mentioned that Palin was once nearly totally mistaken about the results of international nations preserving American debt.

“But what in regards to the slavery part?” Bashir probed.

“There’s an argument that private debt, by hook or by crook, is growing indentured servants in our united states,” Seder conceded. But public debt does no longer do this. In reality, public debt does the exact reverse – it relieves private debt.”

“Right. oKay. That’s two for 2,” Bashir conceded before shifting on.
