Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) has been underneath hearth in the press this week after she criticized President Barack Obama for making the most of the White House’s taxpayer funded dog walker. Past the factual inaccuracies, alternatively, MSNBC host Chris Matthews recognized a racial component in Bachmann’s criticisms of Obama. He stated Friday that, in his opinion, the president’s “ethnicity’s an element” in Bachmann’s criticisms.

After playing a clip of a few charges Bachmann made just lately which earned her the rebuke of the nation’s fact checkers, Matthews again to his guests and asked in the event that they heard something deeper in her comments.
“You already know, I’m going to watch out here, but I feel ethnicity’s a factor right here,” Matthews said. “You go after a president on issues like dog walking and this ridiculous perception of 5 chefs on Air Force – like you could’t have that because, from your history.”
“Let me now not name her a racist, but I don’t be aware of what’s in this,” Matthews introduced.
“Why’s she bringing up these things now?” he requested The Day-to-day Show co-creator Lizz Winstead. “I think it’s nasty stuff.”
Winstead agreed, and mentioned that more people wonder why Bachmann will get public cash to do her job than Obama.
“I believe she’s extra discriminating than that,” Matthews shot back. He said that Bachmann wouldn’t go after the Obama’s for doing bodily labor, suggesting that this is what she views because the Obamas acceptable position.
