Zeteo editor-in-chief and former MSNBC host Mehdi Hasan laid into former Israeli Safeguard Forces (IDF) spokesperson Jonathan Conricus all the way through a heated CNN debate on Israel’s bombing of Rafah, Monday.

After Conricus accused Hassan all the way through the debate of “parroting Hamas speaking factors,” Hasan protested:

I feel your whole viewers noticed me quote the spokesperson for the Israeli hostages’ families, and the colonel then said I’m parroting Hamas speaking factors. He’s regarding the hostages’ households as Hamas, as parroting Hamas talking factors, as a result of I quoted them. I didn’t quote Hamas. In truth, tonight, the colonel knows that a whole bunch of individuals went to Netanyahu’s home and screamed, “You may have blood in your palms.” Israeli protesters. I guess they’re all Hamas, proper? The Israeli position now’s any individual who disagrees with them is Hamas. I’m guessing the next day they’ll say CIA director Invoice Burns, who used to be concerned in this hostage negotiation deal, he’s Hamas too. Everybody’s Hamas. And as for deception, I mean come on. The colonel used to be a spokesperson for the IDF, which has spent the remaining six months mendacity, Abby. Your network has debunked multiple lies that the Israeli armed forces has told.

He brought, “So after we discuss deception, we’re finding out from the masters right here.”

CNN host Abby Phillip went on to press Conricus about Israel’s decision to bomb Rafah, after having prior to now recommended Palestinian civilians to maneuver to the “protected zone.”

“Why is Israel doing this when they recognize that there’s no safe situation, as Mehdi used to be pronouncing, for civilians to head, and Rafah is the place that initially the Israeli govt told them to head?” wondered Phillip, to which Conricus spoke back, “I’d take the whole thing that my respected colleague to the panel here says with quite a lot of pinches of salt.”

Conricus argued, “There are various locations in Gaza, a number of miles northeast of Rafah, northwest of Rafah where they may be able to go and hopefully they are going to go,” as Hasan shook his head.

“I take the purpose that it’s a harsh environment and now not a perfect surroundings for anyone to live in. I wouldn’t wish to be there, to be frank,” he persevered. “However the unhappy reality is the accountability for this example lies on Hamas’ shoulders.”

After Conricus boasted that the Israeli armed forces used to be ready to efficiently transfer many Palestinian civilians into supposedly safe zones, Hasan interrupted, “Then you killed them after they relocated.”

He mentioned:
