Former Vice President Mike Pence endorsed Arizona Republican gubernatorial candidate Karrin Taylor Robson, pitting himself against former President Donald Trump — who has recommended Robson’s opponent, Kari Lake.

Pence, who went in opposition to Trump’s wishes and refused to disclaim certifying the 2020 presidential election for Joe Biden, advised The Washington Submit that Robson is “your only option for Arizona’s future.”

“As Arizona Democrats pursue the reckless Biden-Harris agenda, Karrin Taylor Robson is the one candidate for governor on the way to maintain Arizona’s border steady and streets protected, empower parents and create nice colleges, and promote conservative values,” he advised the outlet in a commentary.

In a Twitter publish, Robson expressed her appreciation for Pence’s endorsement.

“I’m honored to announce the endorsement of former Vice President @Mike_Pence. He has been a warrior for the sanctity of Lifestyles; restricted executive; legislation & order; probability for all; & the information that our freedoms are granted via God. I’m proud to have him on my workforce,” she tweeted.

She added, “Modern politics is stuffed with charlatans & fakes, however VP Pence is the real article. He has by no means wavered in his conservative beliefs & commitment to our Constitution, & left a rock-strong legacy as Gov to which I will aspire. Thank you to your toughen @Mike_Pence!”

Pence and Trump are scheduled to marketing campaign on Friday in Arizona.
