Senate Minority Chief Mitch McConnell dinged fellow Kentucky Republican Sen. Rand Paul for being “an isolationist.”

Remaining week, Paul managed to delay passage of a $40 billion aid package to assist Ukraine fend off Russia’s invasion. The Senate ultimately handed the measure on Thursday.

Appearing on Thursday’s Different Document on Fox Information, anchor Bret Baier aired a clip of Majority Chief Chuck Schumer (D-NY) denouncing “MAGA Republicans” for being “soft on Putin.”

“The MAGA affect on the Republican Birthday Celebration is becoming all too massive and all too dominant,” Schumer said.

Baier then referred to the opposition to the package deal by way of Sens. Josh Hawley (R-MO) and Paul. Paul had stated the $40 billion in aid must be a mortgage.

“How do you react to it?” Baier requested McConnell.

“Yeah, what Schumer mentioned is political nonsense,” he answered. “My colleague Senator Paul has always been – principally – an isolationist. He’s pleased with it and believes that’s the place The us must be. That could be a tiny share of the Senate Republican conference. We handiest had eleven votes against the package. I predict we can have even fewer votes hostile to the admission of Finland and Sweden into NATO.”
