The Home Oversight Committee held its first impeachment inquiry hearing into President Joe Biden on Thursday, and the implications have been underwhelming, to say the least.

Chairman James Comer (R-KY) has claimed Biden was once concerned with the international trade dealings of his son Hunter Biden. The lawmaker has even instructed that the elder Biden took bribes as vp. On the other hand, the committee has but to provide proof that Joe Biden engaged in wrongdoing.

Thursday’s hearing used to be tough for Comer and the GOP, who’re intent on proving the president is corrupt. That hit a snag when regulation professor Jonathan Turley – the Republicans’ own skilled witness – mentioned the current proof does no longer warrant impeachment. Even some Fox Information hosts weren’t impressed.

“I don’t understand what used to be carried out over these last six-plus hours,” Neil Cavuto instructed viewers.

RASKIN: If the Republicans had a smoking gun or even a dripping water pistol, they’d be offering it as of late. However they’ve got nothing on Joe Biden…
