At the least ten tornadoes struck northern Illinois on Sunday, killing at least one particular person, injuring dozens, and leaving piles of rubble in their wake.

The primary tornado touched down at eleven:00 in East Peoria, about a hundred and fifty miles southwest of Chicago, and was adopted by using a couple of twisters. The storms were moving at about 60 miles an hour, in step with authorities, and were powerful sufficient to tear roofs off of constructions and level homes.
