Nate Silver roasted the top officials who worked on Kamala Harris’s presidential marketing campaign over their submit-election spin on Wednesday, musing that they act like “Non-Participant Characters without a will of their own.”
In an interview with Pod Save America‘s Dan Pfeiffer, marketing campaign chair Jen O’Malley Dillon complained that Trump “received no shit” for doing much less traditional media than Harris, adding “we got shit.”
“We acquired tons of shit that she wasn’t doing sufficient media,” noted senior guide Stephanie Cutter.
“Double usual,” commented O’Malley Dillon.
Silver wasn’t impressed via the argument.
“Harris didn’t do a solo community interview except late September. Which who cares, effective, the networks don’t topic so much. Then she did a bunch toward the end of the race. But she was legit now not doing various traditional media,” he observed. “That used to be the campaign’s choice, now not some conspiracy.”
“The Harris marketing campaign other folks are the most non-agentic individuals I’ve encountered able of comparable choice-making authority. They don’t even see themselves as victims so much as Non-Player Characters without a will of their very own,” persevered Silver.

Silver had also taken exception to O’Malley Dillon’s complaint that the campaign had “two weeks fucked up because of the typhoon. Two weeks speaking about how she didn’t do interviews, which, you understand, she used to be doing masses but we have been doing in our personal manner,” on Tuesday.
“The theory the typhoon used to be some massive October surprise that particularly disadvantaged Harris is simply so weird,” he argued. “Rather talking, NC/GA even showed much less vote swing than other swing states.”
