The New Jersey legislature is currently investigating the “BridgeGate” scandal, and one of the vital assemblymen spearheading the investigation instructed NBC News that if Christie is discovered to be concerned within the George Washington Bridge lane closures by any means whatsoever, impeachment gets put on the table in an instant.

Christie has vehemently denied direct information of the bridge scandal, and has already gotten credit in the media for that “ballsy move” (though his adamant denials made Jay Leno suppose he appears way more presidential now). However some individuals haven’t been shopping for Christie’s denials, and if it turns out the governor was once involved, the dreaded “I-phrase” will come into play.

“Using the George Washington Bridge, a public resource, to actual a political vendetta, is a criminal offense,” New Jersey Assemblyman John Wisniewski, who is spearheading the bridge probe, informed NBC Information on Saturday. “Having folks use their reputable place to have a political sport is against the law. So if these tie again to the governor whatsoever, it evidently becomes an impeachable offense.”

One columnist for The megaStar-Ledger, New Jersey’s larger newspaper, also floated that possibility, whereas Alan Dershowitz mentioned on CNN this week that Christie will have to “legal professional up” and prepare for legal prosecution.
