Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) faced heavy criticism on Saturday after tweeting a Christmas photograph of his domestic keeping guns and asking Santa to “please deliver ammo.”

Two parents of students killed all over the Parkland school shooting sharply rebuked the message, whereas many others on Twitter were fast to note how “tone-deaf” it was to post the image no longer even a week after the Michigan faculty taking pictures on Tuesday that killed four college students and injured seven.

The alleged shooter at Oxford Excessive School in Michigan reportedly got the gun used in the shooting as an early Christmas existing from his parents, and had searched online during type on Monday for ammunition to buy.

Manuel Oliver, who misplaced his son Joaquin all the way through the Parkland taking pictures, told CNN that it was once “an awfully nasty submit.”

No. That is in regards to the ache of my son, struggling, death, serious about me [and] eager about his mom.”

Fred Guttenberg, whose 14-12 months-previous daughter Jaime used to be killed in the Parkland taking pictures, also reacted to Massie’s post by means of sharing the remaining photo he took of Jaime alongside an image of the place she is buried.

“The Michigan faculty shooter and his family used to take pictures like yours as well,” Guttenberg introduced.
