Amanda Swanson, a passenger aboard the Metro North passenger train that derailed Sunday morning, spoke to CNN’s Candy Crowley about the experience. The derailment left as a minimum 4 lifeless and sixty-three injured.

“I was once actually nodding off, and I wound up waking up, as a result of I felt my physique to be at 60-45 level attitude, even if I was once sitting upright in my chair, and I knew that didn’t feel quite proper,” Swanson said. “I opened my eyes just in time to appreciate what was going on…I simply rode out the crash, and simply tried to stay conscious and aware so I could do the whole lot on my end to stay alive and uninjured.”

Swanson was in some of the vehicles that flipped totally on its side. She said that the passengers have been in a position to get windows and doorways open on the top to peer recent air, but have been unable to climb out and had no concept if they have been on land, water, or somewhere in between. Swanson said passengers stayed put except the Fireplace Division helped them out.
