Home Speaker Nancy Pelosi mocked Donald Trump while predicting that the former president won’t comply with the January 6th Committee subpoenaing him for evidence and sworn testimony.
MSNBC’s Jonathan Capehart interviewed Pelosi on The Sunday Convey and introduced up the subpoena for Trump — which demands a lot of paperwork about the ex-president’s movements all over the storming of the U.S. Capitol and calls on him to testify.
“Do you suppose he’s going to actually appear for the deposition?” Capehart requested. “What does it say to the American people if he does no longer?”
Pelosi’s solution: “I don’t assume he is man sufficient to point out up.”
Capehart couldn’t hear Pelosi at first as a result of technical difficulties, however the House Speaker repeated herself, which drew a greatly surprised “oh!” from the MSNBC host.
“I don’t think his attorneys will want him to point out up,” Pelosi persisted, “as a result of he has to testify beneath oath. However I don’t assume he’ll show up. I don’t assume he’s man enough. We’ll see if he is man sufficient to point out up. And the general public must make their judgment. Nobody is above the legislation! If we imagine that, then they should make a judgment about how he responds to that request.”
Capehart again to his query about the implications of Trump refusing the subpoena, and Pelosi said “they should take that he thinks he’s above the legislation” in that situation.
“He isn’t honoring the oath we take to protect and protect the Structure of the US,” she stated. “That may be a serious oath that all of us take, and clearly, the remainder of us had more admire for the administrative center he held, then he had.”
