Former Vice President Mike Pence wowed conservative voters during his speech in Iowa on Friday through vowing to end “political correctness” on the Pentagon via prohibiting transgender people from serving in the military.
Pence, a staunch social conservative, who has struggled to realize noticeable footing considering the fact that entering the crowded Republican presidential, vowed to reinstate a Trump-era ban on transgender military service contributors right through his speech at the 2023 Lincoln Dinner.
In 2019, the Trump administration rolled again the rights of transgender folks openly serving in the militia by way of instituting a new policy that prohibited people with gender dysphoria who have been taking hormones, or have already undergone a gender transition, from enlisting.
“We are able to embody our position as chief of the free world to confront Russian aggression and Chinese language provocations with a brand new military suited to the challenges within the 21st century,” Pence informed the target audience in Iowa.
“And we can finish the political correctness on the Pentagon, together with reinstituting a ban on transgender personnel in america defense force,” he added as voters cheered.
