GOP Megadonor and tech entrepreneur Peter Thiel validated his plans to be cryogenically frozen after his dying.
In keeping with the New York Submit, in a dialog with journalist Bari Weiss for her podcast In truth, Thiel answered a sequence of quick-paced questions to finish the interview. Questions ranged from his favourite Bible verse to his plans for the afterlife.
At one level, Weiss pressed him about cryogenics. In 2016, Thiel used to be named as one of many tech traders behind the Alcor Existence Extension Foundation, a company providing these with a deep pocketbook to be frozen in liquid nitrogen until the day that science hopefuls imagine they may be able to be revived.
“Is it genuine that you’re signed as much as be cryonically preserved whilst you die so that you simply could be brought again to existence sooner or later?” Weiss asked.
“Sure, however — call to mind it extra as an ideological statement,” Theil said. “I don’t necessarily expect it to work, but I feel it’s the type of factor we’re supposed to take a look at to do.”
When requested if he has recruited other people who he loves to be part of this system, Thiel simply answered, “I’m no longer sure it really works… I feel we wish to be trying this stuff. It’s not there yet.”
