CBS Information correspondent Lesley Stahl had to check whether former Speaker of the Home Rep. Nancy Pelosi was once being severe when she stated Sunday that President Joe Biden has been a “Mount Rushmore more or less president.”

The California Democrat sat down with Stahl for the most recent adaptation of Sunday Morning on CBS Information to speak about her career, her new guide, and latest politics.

Relating to Biden chucking up the sponge of the race, Pelosi pleaded innocence on any conspiring with others to persuade him, but said she had self assurance he would make the suitable determination whatever it might be.

When Stahl requested whether Pelosi had observed any “decline” in Biden’s abilities, the Democratic chief flatly said “no.”

As Pelosi attributed accomplishments to Biden, she called him, “The sort of consequential president of the US, a Mount Rushmore kind of president of the USA.”

Stahl responded with bemused shock, asking, “Are you in point of fact saying that he belongs up there on Mount Rushmore? Lincoln and Joe Biden?”

“You’ve bought Teddy Roosevelt up there!” responded Pelosi. She quickly allowed that Roosevelt could stay, although, and would no longer need to get replaced. “that You could add Biden,” she clarified.

“If there have been a mount Rushmore for audio system of the House, Nancy Pelosi would definitely be up there,” Pelosi said because the glowing interview of the Democrat persisted.

Pelosi’s new e-book “The Art of Energy” from Simon & Shuster is out now, and amongst other issues covers the assault on her husband Paul Pelosi, which she in part blamed on Donald Trump, whom she describes in the guide as having a “psychological imbalance.”

STAHL: Are you really announcing that he belongs up there on Mount Rushmore? Lincoln and Joe Biden?

PELOSI: But you got Teddy Roosevelt up there, and he’s wonderful. I don’t say take him down, but you could add Biden.
