On CNN’s State of the Union Sunday morning, Home Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Rogers (R-MI) vociferously criticized the deal brokered early Sunday morning halting Iran’s uranium construction, alleging the negotiation gets rid of U.S. sanctions, the sole leverage over the Iranians, without substantive rollbacks in Iran’s nuclear construction or international antagonism.

“We’ve got just rewarded very bad and bad conduct,” Rogers mentioned. “Think about what this settlement does. It says that you could continue to complement. That’s what the Iranians imagine. And they have made no changes—no modifications—in the building of their nuclear weapon application, and I will inform that you with a excessive level of walk in the park.”

“So right here is the best nation state of terror,” Rogers endured, “who tried to commit a political assassination right right here in Washington, D.C., as they consider can make a contribution to the deaths of tons of of U.S. soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan, who is still the primary driver between the improbable brutality that’s going down in Syria, very active around the globe with other political assassination attempts, and what have we performed? We’ve taken away the one thing—we’ve given them enough breathing room—the one factor that brought them to the desk.”

“What’s worrying about that: bipartisan opposition in Congress, very strong bipartisan opposition to the deal. Our Arab League partners don’t just like the deal. Israel doesn’t like the deal. And we may—we may need just inspired extra violence at some point than we’ve stopped. That’s why I am hoping we rethink the place we’re at, unquestionably in six months.”
