Q Thanks, Karine. On the — the scholars and historians assembly, that observation referenced threats to democratic establishments in the usa. Does the President think that there are any particular policy changes which might be wanted to enhance establishments beforehand of the elections?

MS. JEAN-PIERRE: I don’t have any insurance policies to announce or preview for you right now.

Appear, the President has all the time been clear. I’ve been clear from this podium as well. What came about on Jan- — January the sixth was once remarkable — an assault on our core rules, an attack on democracy. What we noticed was an attack on our rule of regulation, assault on our Structure.

We noticed the Confederate flag in — in the course of the Capitol constructing. It’s — it was a — a terrifying and horrific day and a — you realize, a dismal day in our history, regrettably.

But I just don’t have — as far as policy-clever and our — strengthening our establishments, I don’t have the rest to share at this time.

Q However specifically, does he think the USA is ready to have free and honest elections in November?

MS. JEAN-PIERRE: Neatly, it’s — we’ve to. I mean, that’s what we want — we’ve got to. That’s what the President believes in. Proper? He believes in having a democracy that works, on having a free and truthful election. That’s something that he has spoken to, clearly.

But I don’t — so far as our policies for our establishments, saying any new policy, I don’t have the rest to announce at — at the moment. But obviously, that is something that the completely different companies who are concerned are no doubt to ensure that we — we get to a place that we’re — we’re — you recognize, we’re — we’re — Americans are in a position to — to vote freely on — in November.
