President Donald Trump visited Southern California on Friday to tour the damage performed by using the ongoing wildfires within the state, where he held a press convention with native officials. Earlier within the day, Trump reiterated that he desires federal catastrophe relief to be conditional, however this time he made two specific demands.

He stated he wants “to look two things in Los Angeles: voter I.D. so that the folks can vote. And I need to see the water be released and are available down into Los Angeles and all the way through this state.”

Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA), who represents much of the San Diego suburbs and exurbs, spoke all over the presser and mentioned that within the House, Republicans will insist any support Congress appropriates will probably be conditional.

“Mr. President, we’re gonna be together next week,” Issa started out. “We’re going to be striking prerequisites on the cash that do two things: require or not it’s done timely and inexpensive; after which secondly, that we offer protection to those who will come afterwards. As we speak, there are 6,000 acres burning in my district on the Mexican border. There will be extra fires except we include – in any disaster relief – objects with a view to forestall or at least mitigate it from taking place again. So, you’re gonna see us proposing each of those.”

“Like water,” Trump interrupted. “Little issues like water.”

The president then became to Rep. Brad Sherman (D-CA), with whom he clashed past within the press convention.

Trump has fixated on the water supply from the San Joaquin River Delta some 400 miles north of Los Angeles. He has dubiously insisted that the fires were exacerbated as a result of state officials have refused to redirect the water southward – even if Los Angeles will get so much of its water from Owens Valley, east of the Sierra Nevadas.
