Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) argued Pete Hegseth should “completely no longer” liberate his 2017 sexual assault accuser from her non-disclosure settlement on Wednesday, regardless of complaining about Hegseth’s accusers refusing to appear on cable news.
Reacting on CNN to the sexual assault and administrative center alcohol accusations against President-elect Donald Trump’s nominee for secretary of safeguard, Scott protested, “It is a nice nominee and I’m disgusted that these anonymous sources say these items without willing to go on, go to your exhibit or some convey, and you already know, have you ask them the entire questions.”
“The girl who accuses Pete of raping her in 2017,” responded CNN host Jake Tapper. “Pete Hegseth paid her money and he or she signed a non-disclosure agreement, so she can’t come on my show to talk about it. Do you suppose Pete will have to release her from the NDA so that I can ask her the questions that you want me to?”
“Absolutely no longer,” declared Scott. “We know how many individuals signal non-disclosures simply to get rid of something, now not that they ever did anything unsuitable, and he used to be never, , by no means charged with anything.”
Tapper shot again, “Do you want me to ask her questions, or do you now not want me to ask her questions? I’m confused.”
After Scott stated, “I’m not going to indicate that somebody trade a contract that they signed, but this is Trump’s nominee, he received,” Tapper answered, “I hear you, however you simply– you began this interview in pronouncing you don’t like every these anonymous accusations and I must be able to interview these folks. “Well, I admire veterans and infantrymen at all times, but that’s not in point of fact the point,” Tapper concluded.
