Dinesh D’Souza’s movie that sought to show former President Donald Trump’s fable that the 2020 election used to be stolen from him by way of in style fraud has been debunked time and time again. Now, years after its release, its government producer is retracting the film totally.

Following the 2020 election, D’Souza released 2000 Mules as an attempt to justify Trump’s loss to President Joe Biden. Trump famously held a screening of the film at his Mar-a-Lago estate and MAGA supporters promoted the movie all the way through it’s release in Could 2022.

The film was produced via Salem Media Workforce, a conservative radio juggernaut that airs the likes of Sebastian Gorka and Charlie Kirk.

In a new remark, Salem apologized for the movie and stated it could stop distributing it. The transfer came after a person featured within the film sued Salem for defamation.

The movie featured video exhibiting the man, Mark Andrews, putting five ballots in a drop field in Lawrenceville, Georgia in 2020. D’Souza falsely claimed within the movie that Andrews’ movements were felony, describing the votes as “fraudulent.”

The remark from Salem blamed D’Souza for the smear.

“In publishing the movie and the e-book, we relied on representations made to us by Dinesh D’Souza and Genuine the Vote, Inc. (‘TTV’) that the folks depicted in the movies provided to us via TTV, together with Mr. Andrews, illegally deposited ballots,” the company mentioned in a commentary. “now We have discovered that the Georgia Bureau of Investigation has cleared Mr. Andrews of illegal balloting task in reference to the adventure depicted in 2000 Mules.”

The company delivered, “It was never our intent that the publication of the 2000 Mules film and e-book would hurt Mr. Andrews. We apologize for the harm the inclusion of Mr. Andrews’ image within the film, ebook, and promotional materials have caused Mr. Andrews and his domestic.”

The commentary concluded by using noting, “We have eliminated the film from Salem’s structures, and there can be no future distribution of the film or the guide with the aid of Salem.”

Andrews filed a federal lawsuit against D’Souza, Authentic the Vote and Salem again in October 2022 over the allegations promoted in the movie. Salem settled the case with Andrews for a “vital” quantity.
