Saturday Evening Live unsurprisingly devoted a sketch to Will Smith slapping Chris Rock all through the Oscars, offering a parody from the perspective of a seat-filler sitting next to Smith.
“I’m an enormous fan,” the seat-filler tells Smith, and asks him for a selfie.
Listening to Rock’s comic story about his spouse being bald (Jada Pinkett Smith has spoke publicly about having alopecia), Smith — portrayed by way of Chris Redd — tells the fan “howdy I’ll be right again man” ahead of heading up on stage to slap the comic.
“So where you from man?” Smith asks after returning to his seat.
“Uh, uh, nowhere man,” the seat-filler says.
“I like your tux. By means of the way in which, look good, really feel excellent — am I right?” Smith said. “Preserve my wife’s name out ya f*cking mouth!”
“Man, I really like the Oscars man. I like motion pictures man,” he persisted. “I simply saw Paddington 2, you know in truth, perfect movie I ever see. I really like that little endure. Hiya one second y’all. Maintain my spouse’s name out ya f*cking mouth!”
He turns to the visibly uncomfortable fan and says “so how about that selfie man?”
“No that’s k,” he spoke back, including. “I deleted my telephone.”
Any other member of the target audience returns to his seat from the bathroom, naive to the placement, unless he goes on Twitter to share that he’s proper next to Smith.
“Good to satisfy you man, I’m Will, what’s your name?” Smith asks.
“I don’t — they didn’t give me one,” he replied.
“And whose your favorite comic?” Smith asks the seat-filler, who starts to reply Chris Rock however cuts himself off.
“No person, I don’t think the rest is funny,” he says, catching himself.
