Actor and movie director Sean Penn roasted Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy over his policy stance on the Russian invasion of Ukraine, comparing him to a “highschool student.”
Penn sat down with CNN anchor Jim Acosta to promote his new documentary movie Superpower, which presentations the actor embedded within Ukrainians all over the invasion, and interviewing armed forces and civilian leaders including President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Ramaswamy has adopted a stance on the battle just like former President Donald Trump by means of calling for the U.S. make Ukraine to signal a peace settlement that might give Russia the Donbas region and Crimea.
When Acosta brought up Ramaswamy and Trump’s policy stance, Penn was fast to dismiss their ideas.
“If Donald Trump gets again into the White Home, if a Republican presidential candidate will get into the White Home, there are others who did it. Ramaswamy There’s pointed out this pulling back on U.S. toughen for Ukraine. Your response to that,” Acosta asked Penn.
He replied, “I don’t in finding him [Ramaswamy] very attention-grabbing as a result of he’s identical to a highschool pupil who’s spectacular as a result of he obtained an ‘A’ in something he’ll by no means practice in life.”
Penn then looked as if it would criticize how the conflict in Ukraine was once being presented to the American folks in a misleading manner.
“I think that in the blood of these events, in the real perception when taking note of it, both celebration now can have an awfully large political moment as a result of I feel there’s various like mindedness within the focus in the context of what this war manner in the USA. It’s no longer been presented very smartly in the case of the context,” he concluded.
