Vice presidential candidate Tim Walz warned a crowd of supporters that former President Donald Trump was talking about them when denouncing “the enemy from inside.”

At a rally in Colorado on Friday, Trump floated the theory of the use of the militia on U.S. citizens.

“now We have the best militia on the earth, but you need to recognize how to use them,” he stated. “It’s the enemy from within. All the scum that we now have to maintain that hate our country. That’s a much bigger enemy than China and Russia!”

He reiterated the idea Sunday on Fox News.

“We’ve some ill individuals, radical left lunatics,” the previous president stated. “It will have to be very easily taken care of by way of, if essential, via Nationwide Protect or if truly necessary with the aid of the armed forces.”

Conversing at a rally in Wisconsin on Monday, Walz addressed Trump’s remarks:
