Golf icon Tiger Woods apologized for handing golfer Justin Thomas a tampon in jest after Woods outdrove him on a gap.

On Thursday, Woods was filmed handing Thomas the tampon right through the primary spherical of the Genesis Invitational after the legendary golfer blew a pressure handed Thomas’. Tiger met harsh criticism from social media, and Christine Brennan from USA Nowadays wrote an op-ed blasting the 15-time main winner.

In Brennan’s op-ed, she wrote:

What a bizarre thing for a “lady dad” to do. His daughter Sam, no 15, grew up playing soccer and had simply performed in a tournament in Florida when she arrived to watch him win the Masters in 2019.

I’m guessing most of the thousands and thousands of fathers and mothers who support their athletic daughters most likely have long when you consider that retired all their juvenile pranks that have been intended to demean the power of these women they love and for whom they spend a lot time cheering.

But no longer our Tiger.

On Friday, after his three-over-par round in Southern California, “Giant Cat” addressed the viral clip in entrance of reporters and apologized for it.

“It was once supposed to be fun and video games,” Woods mentioned. “But obviously, it hasn’t grew to become out that way, and if I offended anybody, it used to be now not the case. It was once simply chums having enjoyable, and as I said, if I offended anyone in any way, form, or kind, I’m sorry.”

“It was once not meant to be that means,” he mentioned. “We play pranks on one another at all times, and virally I believe this didn’t come across that manner, but between us, it used to be totally different.”

Woods completed one shot over par for the two rounds in his first aggressive golf match seeing that he seemed on the British Open in July.
