Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) informed Fox News on Monday that he may feel “desperation” coming from his former ally Nikki Haley’s presidential campaign and that it was time for her to “notice that this race is over.”
All through an interview with Fox Information host and former White Home press secretary Kayleigh McEnany, Scott said:
Occasionally you get up on Monday morning and you recognize that the race is already long gone, the best factor you are able to do is inside 24 hours is to get out the way. I am hoping that happens. Listen, Nikki Haley has run the perfect race she might run and lately her campaign has been descending, in truth. It’s desperation that you are feeling coming from her camp. When you’re feeling that kind of desperation, that means the race is already over and the major person, Nikki Haley herself, has to return to awareness. She has to attain that this race is over. It’s best for the u . s ., not just our celebration, it is best for The united states that we center of attention on Joe Biden, and albeit, on Monday morning, February 25, we’re going there either way, however we would really like to have her as a part of that team.
Scott, who was appointed by Haley to the Senate in 2013, recommended former President Donald Trump over Haley closing month after suspending his own presidential marketing campaign.
Trump taunted Scott following the endorsement, asking the senator at a rally, “Did you ever suppose that she in reality appointed you, Tim?”
“You’re the senator of her state,” Trump mocked. “You must in point of fact hate her.”
This month, Haley’s son Nalin Haley gave Scott the nickname “Senator Judas.”
