President-opt for Donald Trump made a key demand of the Senate GOP Leader candidates — and certainly one of them capitulated to his request inside minutes.

As GOP Senate leadership candidates scramble to earn Trump’s endorsement for the place, Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) has already pledged to put in force recess appointments for the incoming administration.

Trump launched a commentary on X — previously Twitter — on Sunday the place he claimed that any candidate looking for the place should agree to recess appointments in order that his appointments can also be approved in a “timely manner.”

He delivered, “It’s what they did four years ago, and we can not let it happen again. We want positions filled IMMEDIATELY! THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. THANK YOU!”

Recess appointments sidestep the Senate’s confirmation course of and will be used to quickly install unpopular or unqualified  nominees.

Scott responded to Trump’s request just minutes later by the use of X, the place he vowed to push thru his nominee’s “as speedy as possible.”
