Former President Donald Trump advised conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt on Friday that Vice President Kamala Harris would “be higher” as president than President Joe Biden.
Throughout an interview with Trump on The Hugh Hewitt Convey, Hewitt asked, “Mr. President, if folks vote for Joe Biden, are they really voting for Kamala Harris?”
Trump responded, “I think so. I mean, let’s see what happens. I’m not certain that he gets to the beginning gate, to be sincere. I don’t recognize. I would bet at the beginning gate, but undoubtedly, I think so.”
The former president persisted:
It looks as if he’s locked into her for lots of causes. He has to choose her. I remember. It could seem like the Democrats, if he doesn’t run, need to run her. That’s what all of the mavens like you’re announcing. I’m no longer positive that that’s appropriate, but that’s what they’re pronouncing. Yeah, you’re locked into her. And he or she might be, I will’t say worse. I believe she’d be higher than him, if truth be told. I if truth be told suppose that. I don’t suppose you can have worse than him.
Trump made identical comments right through an interview with former Fox News host Tucker Carlson in August.
“She has some unhealthy moments. Her moments are almost as bad as his, I believe his are worse in fact,” Trump mentioned at the time.
