Former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) regarded with Sean Hannity on Friday night time and offered some utterly wild distortions relating to Jan. 6.

After record several domestic and international coverage missteps from President Joe Biden, Hannity requested Gabbard, “Do you see – as a Democrat – are any of those insurance policies working? Am I lacking something that’s a success?”

Rather than an attempt to answer the question, Gabbard attacked Biden and the Department of Justice for prosecuting the individuals who stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.

“Well, what I see is persons are struggling,” she replied. “And which you could keep in mind how people are frustrated and even indignant at the truth that our executive is failing us. And one of the vital anxious things I see coming out of this administration is how president Joe Biden has his lawyer normal targeting American citizens as domestic terrorists for being quote, unquote, ‘anti-authority.’”

Gabbard did not mention Jan. 6 namely. On the other hand, it’s clear what she used to be alluding to when she claimed that American citizens are being prosecuted as “domestic terrorists” simply days after eleven Americans had been charged with seditious conspiracy in reference to assault on the Capitol.

Furthermore, “domestic terrorism” – whereas outlined via federal legislation – is now not in truth against the law in the U.S. legal code. As such, so one has been charged with domestic terrorism. Gabbard simply made it up.

In a similar fashion, no Jan. 6 defendant has been charged with being “anti-authority.” Gabbard also just made this up.

“What’s so extraordinarily dangerous about this, Sean, is that the president of the USA is the authority right here in The usa,” she endured. “And so, if our president is concentrated on American citizens for being quote, unquote ‘anti-authority,’ what they’re actually announcing is, ‘You’re an enemy of the state if you are towards the president or his insurance policies.’”

It bears repeating the individuals who stormed the Capitol did so in an effort to stop the certification of the 2020 presidential election. It’s also price noting that on the time of the Capitol rise up, Biden was no longer even president yet. For that reason, there were no insurance policies of a President Biden to oppose.

“That is the inspiration of authoritarianism and it’s the message that is received via individuals at house is, should you’re gonna target to me for being towards your policies as the president, there will likely be consequences and therefore what our people to do?” Gabbard claimed. “To close up, step again and fall in line. And this is unacceptable in our democracy and must no longer go unchecked.”
