An American Airlines flight out of Denver was compelled to make an emergency return to that airport on Sunday after a section of the plane broke aside and flew off the wing in pieces all through takeoff.

Passengers captured the frightening scene from their seats on the Boeing 737-800 sequence jet because it used to be taking off from the Denver airport.
