Vice President JD Vance clashed with protestors on the streets of Cincinnati in a heated debate about Ukraine. And afterwards, the VP and demonstrators offered conflicting debts of the incident.
In video obtained by WCPO, Vance can also be viewed engaging the protestors — in a conversation he would later call “principally respectful.”
“You’re promoting ’em out!” A number of of the protestors mentioned, at one level.
“With appreciate, ma’am, I disagree,” Vance said. “I feel that what we’re doing is we’re actually forcing a diplomatic agreement.”
Later, any other protestor stated of Russia, “They’re the aggressor each time!”
“Ma’am, I understand that’s your view—” Vance replied, ahead of being bring to a halt.
“That’s no longer our view!” The protestor mentioned. “It’s the info!”
After the confrontation, Vance posted the following on X:
“Nowadays whereas walking my 3 year previous daughter a bunch of “Slava Ukraini” protesters adopted us around and shouted as my daughter grew increasingly anxious and scared.
“I decided to talk with the protesters in the hopes that I may exchange a few minutes of conversation for them leaving my little one on my own. (The vast majority of them agreed.)
“It used to be a mostly respectful conversation, however in case you’re chasing a 3-year-previous as a part of a political protest, you’re a shit particular person.”
Protestor Ann Henry, who equipped the video to WCPO, disputed Vance’s account of the incident — telling WCPO that she and a number of others demonstrators spontaneously handed Vance en path to a nearby boulevard where the greater protest was being held.
“No one was once chasing him,” Henry told WCPO.
Henry gave credit to Vance for talking with the crew, however introduced, “I just want he wouldn’t have characterised it the way he did on Twitter.”
