President Joe Biden is conserving a press convention from the NATO summit in Washington, his first since his debate performance closing month against Donald Trump.
The president is about to speak at round 7 p.m. ET in what the White Home has dubbed his “big boy” press convention amid calls from some within his personal party to step down over concerns about his stamina and probabilities of defeating Trump.
Biden will discuss from the Walter E. Washington Conference Center in D.C. in his first solo press conference in view that November of last year. Since the debate, he’s performed multiple interviews, leading to further scrutiny on the marketing campaign. Biden has insisted he is staying in the race, blaming party “elites” for calls to exchange him because the Democratic Birthday Celebration’s nominee.
The president additionally wrote a letter to Democratic colleagues in Congress, insisting he’s staying in the race. A couple of Democratic lawmakers have already called for him to step down on the grounds that, and Axios pronounced a “flood” of other contributors of Congress are waiting to free up statements except after the NATO summit and Biden’s press convention.
Biden’s press conference was in the beginning scheduled for 90 minutes earlier, but was delayed due to the president’s full time table, in line with NATO.
