Reps. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) and Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) joined Steve Bannon on the one-year anniversary of the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol to advertise their press convention pushing 2020 election fraud allegations, the same baseless allegations that fueled the assault.
“We’re ashamed of nothing,” Gaetz said on Bannon’s Warfare Room podcast Thursday morning.
“We’re proud of the work we did on Jan. 6 to make professional arguments about election integrity,” Gaetz mentioned, whereas Greene interjected, “That’s right.”
365 days after a long way-proper insurrectionists stormed the Capitol, @mattgaetz says:
“We’re ashamed of nothing. We’re proud of the work we did on Jan.6…and we’re in reality going to stroll the grounds that patriotic American citizens walked from the White Home to the Capitol.” %twitter.com/XaNta8W3XR

“And so we’re going to make these arguments today,” Gaetz endured. “And in fact we’re going to go walk the grounds that patriotic Americans walked from the White House to the Capitol who had no intent of breaking the law or doing violence.”
Bannon interrupted multiple times to assert, “grasp the day.”
Later within the podcast, Gaetz mentioned he would use the House Jan. 6 Committee to “lay out this used to be a ‘fedsurrection,’ not an riot and I believe you should have a couple of, now not simply the FBI, a couple of components of the nationwide security apparatus concerned,” pushing the widely debunked conspiracy concept that the federal executive helped to fuel the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol.
