Veteran journalist Bob Woodward spoke to Media Buzz’s Howard Kurtz concerning the White Home reaction to his now and again crucial reporting of President Barack Obama’s administration, suggesting that the White Home blamed him for starting the narrative that Obama was once too passive in his confrontations with the Republican Congress.

“They said I began it,” Woodward mentioned. “That I began this idea of he’s gotta lead, and he’s too passive from time to time on these price range concerns.”

Woodward stated he used to be being “empirical” in his judgment, and that according to his empiricism Obama had did not leverage the powers of his workplace.

“The president is the CEO of the us of a, and he has to have the option to work his will. As you recount all of this, you see that the president is the one who calls individuals to the White Home, they don’t name him to the Congress. He’s acquired the hammer.”

Kurtz asked if Woodward had received any pushback from the White Home.

“Nobody likes to be criticized and known as out,” Woodward said. “I feel the temperature’s going up at this time as there’s increasingly more criticism” over Obama’s handling of the Reasonably priced Care Act rollout.

Woodward stated the White Home Press Corps had incentive not to criticize the White Home for worry of losing access, however that every one White Properties had approached the media on this type.

“They all play hardball,” Woodward stated. “But we are in a scenario now with the cable information protection and the web, and the impatience and velocity riding the whole thing, give it to me now, supply me the soundbites. You gotta are living in that world. I don’t, reasonably frankly.”
